The workshop was developed knowing that many educators and their students do not have teaching materials and student supplies at home – the activities and resources shared in this PD do not require the teacher to re-create the wheel and/or purchase new materials. Educators will learn how the staff at the Education Center has been providing engaging hands-on multisensory literacy instruction in their virtual classrooms, including each component of a Structured Literacy lesson:
- Phonemic awareness
- Word study
- Vocabulary
- Comprehension
- Writing
This PD will help teachers who are meeting live with their students and those teachers who are permitted to upload activities without live sessions.
