September 10, 2020: Lima Bean Journal Research and Reading about Photosynthesis

September 10, 2020: We will observe our lima beans and changes if any. We will draw a picture of it in our journal and write sentences that describe what we see. We will read about photosynthesis and plants. We will discuss our readings. We will write two facts we learned in our notebooks.

Planting Seeds and Germination We will complete a project together. We will have lima beans. We will wet the lima beans with a paper towel. Seal lima beans in a plastic bag. Make/write a hypothesis about its growth. Draw pictures of the lima bean. Place plastic bag in sunlight.

Germinating A Lima Bean

Students will draw a picture of the lima bean seed in their science notebook. They are going to observe the seed over the next week. Students will read and discuss facts about plants and growth. Students will write two sentences about what they learned today.
